Duke offers locations where faculty, staff and students can receive a free flu vaccination. Vaccinations can also be obtained at Duke Primary Care providers, area pharmacies and other locations, but documentation must be provided for compliance.
Annual vaccination against the flu is a condition of employment at Duke Health; other University staff and faculty working on-site must be vaccinated or have an approved medical or religious exemption to maintain access to Duke’s buildings and facilities. Learn more.
Please note: an egg-free option of the vaccine as well as other special vaccine formulations will be available at Employee Occupational Health and Wellness clinics.
Staff and Faculty
Faculty and staff can visit Employee Occupational Health & Wellness in Duke South Clinic in the Orange Zone, Sub-Basement Level for flu shots. Shots are available between 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. every Monday - Friday (except for Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m.) No appointment is necessary.

Employees can submit documentation of external vaccination to Employee Health via https://duke.is/vxsfu.
Students
Students should check the Student Health website or contact the Student Health Center at (919) 681-9355 to arrange an appointment with the immunization nurse.
